The Necromancer’s Light offers a fascinating world and emotionally rich characters like Shae Nightven, the lonely necromancer. While the story kept me in a steady state of flow rather than excitement, a powerful emotional gut punch shifted my experience and left me curious for more.

Perilous Courts is a high fantasy, high feels series with plenty of hurt/comfort, secret identities, and animal companions with attitude. Each novel follows a different prince and his Happily Ever After, but the series is best read in order. Books 1-3 start the series with the three princes of Silaise, and Books 4-6 will continue with the three princes of neighboring Draskora.
