librarianreadseverything: Watchmen set the standard for future graphic novels. It stands out for the complexity of morals of its main characters. It doesn’t rely only on the comic book panel but mixes in hard text. What was really interesting was its use of parallel storylines, providing depth without length of novel. TV Review: Bitten (S1)
I had real doubts about this show but I actually got into it. The characters are interesting and likeable. The supernatural elements are grounded which makes it all feel real. I never read the books, I’ve had them for years, and this show might get me to read into them.
A friend of mine just sent me this :).

Philomena | Quick Movie Review
It was a heart warming movie that manages to leave a bitter taste at the end. Philomena must be a phenomenal woman to have such kindness and strength. I cried a few times during the movie, I couldn’t help myself. The story is moving and will touch you if you let yourself care.
The Mortal Instrument: City of Bones | Quick Movie Review
The movie was better than I expected - I’m not a very big fan of the book - but the problem might be that the lead roles are played by great actors but for some reason you can’t believe them. It’s mostly with case with Jamie Campbell Bower that guys does not look like a … Continue reading The Mortal Instrument: City of Bones | Quick Movie Review
The Mortal Instrument #1: City of Bones by Cassandra Clare | Book Review
I’m a slow reader but I got through this book fairly quickly. It’s readable and you even end up wanting a little more but I have to admit that the movie was a slight step up from the book. ★★★
