The Devil’s Star is a gripping but uneasy entry into Jo Nesbø’s Harry Hole series. While the serial killer investigation is easy to follow and intriguing, the deep dive into Harry’s alcoholism can be difficult to sit with. It’s a well-written but challenging read that becomes more engaging as the case unfolds.
