The premiere broadened the scope of the show by introducing a new “race”, the witches and more importantly by expanding the hierarchy among the werewolves. The pack doesn’t seem like a lonely entity anymore but rather part of a larger organisation shrouded in mystery. The secrecy among the werewolves and the witches introduced in the show begs the question of which of the two is stronger? They seem both wary of each other, and I wonder if it’s fear of the unknown or fear of the power? 

Elena & the pack are on edge, it feels like they’re being attacked on all fronts but things aren’t always as they seem on this show. The mystery in BittenS2 is slowly being uncovered it’s basically the same recipe as the first season but with different flavors.
