Based on the novel “Six Days of the Condor” by James Grady and screenplay “Three Days of the Condor” by Lorenzo Semple Jr. and David Rayfiel. This television version was created by Todd Katzberg, Jason Smilovic (War Dogs) and Ken Robinson. The series stars Max Irons (The Host), Kristen Hager (Being Human US), William Hurt (Civil War), Leem Lubany (Baghdad Central), Christina Moses, Bob Balaban, and Rose Rollins.

Premise: CIA analyst Joe Turner (Max Irons) who stumbles onto a plan that threatens the lives of millions. Joe has always been conflicted about his work for the CIA. But when something he’s discovered gets his entire office killed, leaving Joe as the only survivor and forcing him to go on the run, the theoretical reservations he’s harbored turn into all-too-real moral dilemmas. Under pressure, Joe will be forced to redefine who he is and what he’s capable of in order to discover the truth and to stop a plot that threatens the lives of millions.

Review: Honestly, I watched this show because of Max Irons’ face on the poster and stayed for the woman from Being Human (Kristen Hager). I don’t think I’d seen a premise or trailer for this so I tuned in with little to no expectations.

The pilot was trying to be all mysterious with scenes happening with little explanation but I could piece it together. By the end of the pilot, I was barely convinced me to watch episode two. It was good but I couldn’t see what would make Condor different from other shows or movies with the similar plot of “the wrongly accused man,” but after episode two I knew the interpersonal relationships could make the show worthwhile for me, and got better and better with every episodes. And also the 10 hour commitment helped.

In the end Condor was a bit of a surprise, it’s a good thriller with entertaining action scenes, geopolitical intrigues, and great acting.
