Review

There’s always a shadow of corruption or some sort of shady dealing going on at the beginning of this show, and yet they manage to make it different and fresh every time. I started the first of the two-episode premiere with an idea of what was happening who was potentially shady and up to no good, to almost completely flip and feel like a grave error was made. It’s one of the things this show does well, keep the audience guessing and the story changing and moving.

The second episode clears some things up and cranks it up a bit. The story is building into something quite interesting, an elusive Triad consolidating power that’s creeping up on the US with people high in the political food chain involved, I’m intrigued.

The chemistry between Ryan and Greer is still fire, I love their working relationship, and it’s also nice to see how Ryan and Wright’s relationship has evolved. Michael Peña as a black ops guy is great, so serious and badass, yet the show still managed to put him in a funny little scene.

So the fourth and last season has begun and it’s starting with a bang, the pace is faster, the story is intriguing and the danger is looming. I can’t wait to see where it all goes.
