Review
Somewhere along the way, I completely forgot that Good Omens Season 3 was actually a feature-length finale and not a regular season with episodes, so when it started wrapping things up, I was caught a little off guard. And honestly, that’s probably my biggest issue with it: the story feels rushed.
A lot is happening here emotionally and plot-wise, and while I genuinely liked where things ended up, you can definitely feel the compression. Some moments could’ve used a little more room to breathe, especially considering how much history these characters have.
That said, the emotional core still works beautifully.
I didn’t realize just how attached I’d become to Aziraphale and Crowley until this finale hit me right in the heart. Watching them reconnect, awkwardly navigate their feelings, was surprisingly moving. Sheen and Tennant still have incredible chemistry together, and that relationship remains the soul of the entire series.
I also appreciated that the ending stayed true to who these characters are. I fully expected Aziraphale not to reciprocate Crowley’s feelings directly; he’s still an angel, after all, and I don’t think they want to anger part of the population. But I actually think the choice the finale makes works better for the story. The whole point was never really about turning them into a conventional romance. It was about an angel and a demon slowly becoming more human through each other, blurring lines that were always supposed to stay rigid. They created shades of grey in a universe obsessed with black and white.
And honestly? That’s what made their bond so compelling in the first place.
In the end, Good Omens closes out as a beautiful, emotional farewell to two characters I’ve genuinely loved spending time with. Even if the pacing is uneven, the heart is absolutely there, and that final journey with Aziraphale and Crowley felt worth it.
