Review: 2015 is really the year of the transgender so this movie is in the zeitgeist. I never had a doubt that Redmayne could do it because his performances are usually intricate and riddled with subtleties so it was a pleasure to see some of that in the trailer. The real surprise for me was to see Tom Hooper’s take on this particular story and I like what I’ve see so far. You can tell from the trailer that the movie has a weight to it, it’s emotionally charged, and seems to be a great journey to embark on.
